“Morskie Oko” Restaurant is located in an art nouveau tenement building, under number 8 on the Szczepański Square, with every detail of the décor referring to the unique ambiance of a highlander’s inn. The Restaurant combines love and passion for highlanders hometown – Zakopane, its culture and traditions. It is a perfect place for families and friends to gather, and for tourist to feel the characteristic Polish hospitality.
The Restaurant has an exceptional charm, there is candlelight all around, the pleasant scent of wood burning in the fireplace spreads in the air, and in the background you can hear Highlanders’ live singing. It is a one of a kind place, in which you can try Polish regional cuisine, including a variety of delicious meats such as mutton, veal, sirloin, ribs, pork knuckles, all served with savory sauces prepared accordingly to old recipes.
Our specialty are hand-made dumplings and freshly baked cakes served for dessert. Our guests can also taste regional alcoholic beverages: sweet honey vodka, liqueurs based on angelica herb or sloe, and the famous plum vodka.
